The use of highly pure acids is elementary and indispensable in ultra-trace analysis. However, the acquisition of ultra-pure acids is often associated with high costs. With our acid purification systems, ultra-pure acids in ppt quality (<10 ppt) can be produced in the laboratory from inexpensive acids with a lower degree of purity. This makes it easy to produce high-purity acid for daily use. In addition to cost savings, this also has the advantage of reducing the risk of contamination, as multiple withdrawals from large storage bottles are no longer necessary - an important factor for consistent quality of analytical results. The units work according to the principle of subboiling distillation: the acid to be purified is gently heated below boiling point. High-purity acid vapour is produced, which condenses and is collected as high-purity acid in an ultra-pure PFA bottle. The metallic impurities of the acid remain behind.
