Announcement regarding the organization of a proficiency testing PT 18/10

Analytika, spol. s r.o. participates in realization of PT 18/10 "Analysis of samples of heavily contaminated river sediment" which is organized by PT-provider SPL Bohumín. This PT was additionally incorporated into the 2010 PT programme of the Czech Accreditation Institute. This test is divided into 3 groups of analytes:

PT 18/10A

Determination of metals - Ag, As, Ba, Be, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Hg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Se, Sn, Ti, V, Zn in a contaminated river sediment (Ba, Cu, Mn, Zn: 100-800mg/kg, other metals: 1-100mg/kg) by AAS, ICP-OES and ICP-MS. Sample decomposition: aqua regia extraction according to ISO 11466.

PT 18/10B

Determination of some selected PCBs - congeners 28, 52, 77, 101, 118, 126, 138, 149, 153, 163, 170, 180, 187, 194 in a contaminated river sediment (PCB 77, 126, 169: 0,05-20 µg/kg, other congeners: 50-500 µg/kg) by GC-ECD, GC-MS, HRGC HRMS.

PT 18/10C

Determination of some selected PAHs - anthracene, benzo[a]anthracene, benzo[b]fluoranthene, benzo[k]fluoranthene, benzo[ghi]perylene, benzo[a]pyrene, chrysene, phenanthrene, fluoranthene, indeno[1,2,3,-cd]pyrene, pyrene in a contaminated river sediment (all: 0,05-1 mg/kg) by HPLC-FLD or GC-MS.

The participants in the entire PT or in its particular segment of analytes are welcome. The participation in each segment of analytes costs 50 Eur.

Distribution of samples and instructions for analysis:	20.-30.6.2010
Evaluation of the PT and distribution of final report:	31.10.2010
